Children's Mental Health - Resources for professionals
We are supporting Children’s Mental Health Week from the 5 – 11 February 2024. This is a national campaign, led by Place2Be, which prioritises improving children’s mental health.
This year's theme is ‘My Voice Matters’. The week exists to equip, empower, and give a voice to children and young people across the UK.
This year Place2Be have oragnised Express Yourself, a dress-down day encouraging you to celebrate what makes you unique – you can optionally use your Express Yourself day to raise vital funds for children’s mental health too. Kickstart your Children’s Mental Health Week journey by downloading Place2Be’s free resource pack, which is jam-packed with an assembly guide, activities for the classroom, mental health tips, posters, bunting, Express Yourself info and much more.
By getting involved you can make a huge difference to children’s mental health. We would love to see what your school community gets up to during the week, you can even add yourself to the Place2Be map to show your schools involvement!
Children’s Mental Health Week Virtual Assembly
Would your school like to join our virtual Children’s Mental Health Week assembly, being held on Monday 5th February?
Time: 9.15am (please note, this is GMT – UK time).
Running time: Approx 30 minutes
Most suitable for: Key Stage 1 and 2
Format: It is a live, virtual assembly held on Zoom Webinar (the children can see our presenter, Greig, but he cannot see the children and they cannot see each other). Teachers can ask and answer questions on behalf of the children using the chat box.
Cost: A suggested donation of £20 per school is welcome but not compulsory.
