About the training
This training will provide an overview of the Healthy Start card, which supports eligible young families on low incomes to buy healthy food and milk.
The session equips colleagues with the knowledge and confidence to explain the scheme, understand eligibility, support applications via various pathways, troubleshoot common issues, and signpost families effectively. The session will cover:
-What is the Healthy Start Programme?
-Healthy Start card: Including details on how much money people will get, what they can spend it on, how payment top ups work, and where it can be used. Will include details to the uplift in payments effective from April 6th.
- Who is eligible for a Healthy Start card? Clear breakdown of eligibility criteria. Including details on the eligibility of those with no recourse to public funds (NRPF)
-NEW: The Application process: including different application pathways according to different eligibility strands, a walkthrough of the application questions and explanation of common troubleshooting issues.
