From May 2021, all pregnant women, new mothers and children under the age of 4 years can access FREE vitamins including the recommended amount of Vitamin D in Newham.
Healthy Start vitamins are free regardless of families income or immigration status and has been funded by Public Health Newham.
What is the Healthy Start Vitamins scheme?
Good nutrition and Healthy Start vitamins in pregnancy and after birth can help mother to maintain her own health and provide the best for her baby.
Vitamins and good nutrition can also help young children to grow up healthy and strong and also reduce the risk of Obesity, Type 2 diabetes and heart disease later in life.
Are the vitamins suitable for all diets?
Healthy Start vitamins do not contain milk, egg, gluten, soya or peanut residues and they're suitable for vegetarians and halal diets.
