Delivering Family Hub Services: An Overview for Professionals
Join us for an informative session providing a clear and practical overview of the full range of support available through the Family Hubs Network. Designed specifically for professionals working with children, young people, and families, this session will increase awareness of the early help offer across our local area and strengthen partnership working.
This one‑hour online session will highlight how each part of the Family Hubs network supports families from pregnancy through young adulthood, ensuring professionals know where, when, and how to signpost.
What the Session Will Cover
Participants will gain insight into the full suite of Family Hub services, including:
- Healthy Babies – Infant Feeding: Support and information from our specialist Infant Feeding Team, and our new volunteer peer supporters, a warm welcome at our Baby Feeding Cafes, antenatal and weaning workshops.
- Perinatal Mental Health Support: Mental health assessments, counselling, therapy, and specialist health visitor support.
- Parenting and Relationship: Support Courses, peer support and digital resources to build confident parenting and healthy family relationships.
- Parent and Caregiver Panel: A space to share experiences, provide feedback, and suggest service improvements.
- SEND Support Services: Specialist advice, workshops, and peer support for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and their families.
- Youth Services: Activities for young people aged 10–25, led by youth workers to support social, emotional and personal development.
- Practical Support & Guidance: Confidential advice and practical help for families facing challenges such as money, housing, employment and wellbeing support.
- Best Start in Life: Antenatal and maternity support, health visitor services, and digital resources for the first 1,001 days.
- Early Language and Home Learning: Stay and play sessions, tailored workshops, home learning resources, and specialist support to support children’s early language and learning.
