Just Transition Training: how to tackle the climate emergency in your role/organisation

The session will cover:
• Climate impacts, vulnerabilities and the need for climate action and a just transition in Newham
• An overview of the Just Transition Plan, approved by Cabinet in December 2023
• Workshop with breakout groups on how to the Just Transition Principles and Futures apply to your role and team (increasing equity, reducing emissions, building future resilience)
• Guest speaker from VCF sector to share what they’re doing to enable a Just Transition in Newham
• An opportunity to ask any questions to the Climate Action Team and find opportunities for collaboration and joint working

Core Conversations Training

Please note this training is for frontline workers and volunteers only. Residents cannot attend this training.

This training is based on 7 principles for great Core Conversations. These were co-created with nearly two hundred front-line experts from the public and voluntary sector during the pandemic. The training uses these principles to enhance people’s existing ability to quickly build a relationship with the person they’re aiming to help, form a holistic understanding of the challenge at hand and to co-create solutions to overcome them.
