Homelessness, or the threat of homelessness, continues to be an issue that affect many of our service users. In an area like Newham, where demand is high and accessing housing often comes with barriers, the solutions can sometimes seem complex. The session is intended to help identify these obstacles and how to overcome them. Homelessness can be resolved, but will only be achieved by building stronger partnerships and understanding the landscape in which we operate.

Core Conversations Training

This training is based on 7 principles for great Core Conversations. These were co-created with nearly two hundred front-line experts from the public and voluntary sector during the pandemic. The training uses these principles to enhance people’s existing ability to quickly build a relationship with the person they’re aiming to help, form a holistic understanding of the challenge at hand and to co-create solutions to overcome them.

Ageing Well Festival 2024

The Newham Ageing Well Strategy aims to improve the health and wellbeing of residents aged 50+; and reduce health inequalities.

You are invited to attend this year’s Festival to celebrate our residents aged 50+, find out more about the activities and services available in the borough; connect with other residents and learn how you can get involved with delivering and shaping the Year 3 Strategy actions.

Summer Activities at Cody Dock

Come along for a night of exploring the wonderful world of nocturnal creatures to celebrate Moth Night and get free pizza!

We'll learn how to set up moth traps and to use bat detectors then we will head out to see what we can find in Cody Dock and along the River Lea.

Join us at Cody Dock to learn to use natural materials to print and dye fabrics. We will spend time along the riverfront getting to know some of the local urban wildlife as well as learning different natural printing and dyeing techniques.
